While our local community in Puerto Galera sees an increasing number of tourists land on our shores, feeding into a booming tourist industry, there are still many families that are not benefitting from the boosted economy. On the contrary, they become victims of bloated prices at the local markets and in the local stores.
To help children pursue the education they are entitled to, and consequently helping families break out of a vicious cycle of poverty, the main component of Stairway’s community program is centered on education.
