Roedkilde Gymnasium has been a long-time partner of Stairway since 1993, and its students have consistently raised funds to support Stairway’s programs and services for over thirty years. After a year of preparations, last January 24-Feb. 1, thirty-two students and two teachers from Roedkilde Gymnasium in Denmark arrived at Stairway and participated in our Youth for Change Camp.
Despite the harsh weather, the Danish students and Stairway kids persevered and happily engaged in all the planned activities. Through their shared experiences, they developed genuine connections and gained a deeper understanding of one another. As the week ended, Roedkilde students and the Stairway boys shared their reflections and lessons learned. The goodbyes overflowed with heartfelt hugs, tearful emotions, and a wealth of cherished memories.
