Butuan – One afternoon after a CSAP training in Butuan with a Break the Silence partner, I decided to visit a life size replica of a Balanga (an ancient Filipino boat). After finding the place (it was miles away from the training venue), I had to hire a boatman to ferry me across the Agusan River. I ended up taking more photos of the boatman as he reflected how life in Butuan was connected to the river that flows within the area.
